Good News: NetEase “Confucius Institute” Account Wins 2017 NetEase Media Annual “Governance Energy” List

In order to promote the transmission, guidance, influence, and credibility of “Internet + Governance”, NetEase Media released the Annual “Governance Energy” List on December 15th, 2017. The NetEase “Confucius Institute” account won the “Central Institution Best Equipped with Craftsmanship Spirit”.

NetEase Media also announced the National “Governance Energy” Index List and National “Governance Energy” Transmission List synchronously including 9 units which are “Top 10 Institutions of National Governance Energy Index”, “Top 10 Central Institutions of National Governance Energy Index”, “Top 10 Beijing Institutions of National Governance Energy Index”, “Most Popular Central Institution Among Netizens”, “Central Institution Best Equipped with Zeitgeist”, “Central Institution Best Equipped with Craftsmanship Spirit”, “Most Influential Government Institution”, “Most Innovative Government Institution”, “Government Institution Best Equipped with Transmission Capacity” respectively.

The NetEase account for the “Confucius Institute” was rewarded as “the Central Institution Best Equipped with Craftsmanship Spirit” due to its unique role and unremitting efforts in promoting Chinese language and Chinese culture. At present, there are 525 Confucius Institutes and 1,113 Confucius Classrooms in primary and secondary schools in 146 countries and regions around the world. In 2017, the total number of Confucius Institutes and Classrooms students reached 2.32 million, and 12.72 million people were involved in various kinds of cultural activities of Confucius Institutes.
