On the evening of July 3rd, the opening concert of the 4th Confucius Institute International Music Summer Camp "Chinese Music Summer School" was held at the Central Conservatory of Music.

When China’s Dunhuang meets with Danish fairy tales in the form of music, how stunning it would be! On the evening of July 3rd, the opening concert of the 4th Confucius Institute International Music Summer Camp "Chinese Music Summer School" was held at the Central Conservatory of Music. Musicians from China gave a refreshing performance to the audience with many different western instruments.

The concert inaugurated amid the music Dunhuang. Musicians jointly performed this composition full of ancient oriental styles with traditional Chinese instruments, such as Erhu, Dulcimer, Lute, Sheng, and etc. Later, other compositions including Caprice, In the Silence, Tipsy Dancing Devarajas and Jade were also performed wonderfully. It is worth mentioning that the four new compositions of the Music Confucius Institute of Denmark had its world premiere in the concert, namely the Emperor’s New Clothes, Sent Back to Odense, Fairy Impression and The Little Match Girl.

It is known that the 4th Confucius Institute International Music Summer Camp will be held from July 3rd to 16th in Beijing. About 60 students and teachers of music majors or with music specialties from the United States, Canada, South Africa and Denmark will get together in Beijing and attend about 50 academic activities of 6 series including Chinese instruments workshops, demonstration concerts and maestro workshops, experiencing the charm of Chinese music and the beauty of Chinese culture through multi-dimensions.
